BBKK - Beacon Bangkok Co., Ltd is a proud member of the global network organization called Beacon gobo group, which has its roots and origin in Sweden. Located now in Bangkok, Thailand, the advanced gobo technology once developed by Light Designer Micke Tannemyr and chemist physicist Curt Dalström (since 1996, they have had several patents registered, and pending, among them the Beacon gobo) is now available for the Asian region.
Our gobos, which are amongst the most advanced on the market today, are manufactured using a patented technology utilizing a photolithographic process on ultra-thin zero expansion glass. This process gives a finished full color product that is only 1.5 mm thick; a Beacon Full Color Gobo™.
This also means it is one of the thinnest gobos available, and will allow an extremely good focus on the projected image, as all the layers on the gobo are situated very close to each other.
The Beacon AB invention, the Black Line series incorporates a specially designed anodized metal holder, giving a more robust and durable finished product for longer life and easier installation. It also incorporates a dark mirror coating on the lens side of the gobo. This coating absorbs the light that is reflected from the projection lens and this allows a much higher contrast projection.
Our gobos have been used in a wide variety of settings such as The Eurovision Song Contest, The Nobel Prize Award ceremonies and Sweden Hockey Games, to name but a few, but among our satisfied customers are also world famous companies such as Ikea and Volvo.
